Project DescriptionThe Project: New build luxury development of three storey homes constructed on a sloping site. The semi-basement, lower ground floors, required waterproofing.
The end use of the lower ground floor is as habitable accommodation alongside integral garages.
Waterproofing design and installation to the applicable code of practice, BS8102:2009 and the warranty providers (Premier Guarantee) technical standards was required.
Protectahome were approached to act as the Waterproofing Specialist and work with the design team. Liaising closely with the Architect, the Structural Engineer and the developer, a bespoke, fully integrated solution was created that removed any issue with split liability.
Type A & C waterproofing, as defined within BS8102, were specified. The products and systems selected for use were matched to the site conditions, the method of construction, maintainability requirements and of course products came with third party certification and accreditation.
The installation was undertaken by Protectahomes own, NVQ qualified and CSCS certificated & carded direct labour force, under the direct supervision of our waterproofing specialist surveyor.
With regular site inspections by our surveyor throughout the process to ensure that the design and installation integrity was maintained, the valued Protectahome System Guarantee could be issued.
In keeping with technical requirements of Premier Guarantee, this professionally designed solution is covered by Protectahome, waterproofing specialist, own Professional Indemnity insurance.
