Summary:

Structural Waterproofing Operative

South Wales/South West – Travel involved.

Start ASAP – Permanent Full Time

Due to continued expansion, Protectahome are seeking to employ an experienced Structural Waterproofing Operative to join our successful Structural Waterproofing Division operating throughout England and Wales.

The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to earn a competitive salary whilst working for a long standing, family run company with a strong presence in the market and a history of staff training and development.

Description:

Duties will include installation of a large range of modern waterproofing systems and products including: Cavity Drain Membranes, External Membranes, Sumps and Pumps, Liquid Membranes, Primers and Cementitious Products. Practical knowledge and experience of at least some of these systems is essential for this role. Full training will be provided in any areas required.

Work will often include extensive travel throughout England and Wales and nights away from home. The ability to work away on a regular basis is paramount – applicants without this ability are highly unlikely to be considered. The employment package covers the cost of travel/accommodation/sustenance etc. The employment package will also include the use of a company service vehicle and work wear/PPE will also be provided. The role will potentially include work within other divisions of the company from time to time, full training will be provided for this if necessary.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a similar role and hold a full UK drivers licence. CSCS card holders would be preferable.

Description:

Duties will include installation of a large range of modern structural repair systems and products including: Sock Anchors, Diamond Drilling, Helical Repairs, Wall Ties and Ground Anchors (amongst others). Practical knowledge and experience of at least some of these systems is essential for this role. Practical knowledge specifically of Cintec and/or Helifix systems/products will be looked upon very favourably. Full training will be provided in any areas required.

Work will often include extensive travel throughout England and Wales and nights away from home. Pest Control Technician

Bristol & Surrounding

Salary: Competitive, basic + commission based on experience.

Overview:

Protectahome are seeking to employ an experienced Pest Control technician to act within the South East Wales region.

The successful candidate will be tasked with servicing, and aiming to further develop, a longstanding area for the BPCA accredited Pest Control division of the company.

Description:

Reporting to the Pest Control Coordinator at head office, duties will include servicing both domestic and commercial pest control enquiries across the area to both BPCA and company standards. The successful candidate will have proven experience of dealing with all manner of common pests in both a reactive and proactive capacity. Level 2 BPCA/RSPH qualification would be ideal though we are willing to consider candidates working toward this.

A further aspect to the role will be the ability, to actively promote the company and develop leads within the area. The ideal candidate will be able to identify and convert additional works such as proofing and pest clean/clear jobs. Proven track record of this would be desired and commission structure available in addition to basic pay.

Full driving licence and excellent communication skills required.

A company vehicle, workwear and equipment will be provided as necessary.

Salary will be competitive and based on experience with the potential to earn commission and target based bonuses.

Protectahome are seeking to employ an experienced Plasterer/Multi-Skilled Operative to join our successful Building Preservation Division in South Wales.

The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to earn a competitive salary whilst working for a long standing, family run company with a strong presence in the market and a history of staff training and development.

Description:

Duties will include hacking off and replastering of a range of properties with associated works that will include chemical damp proof course installation and the removal and refit of skirting boards, radiators etc.

We are seeking a hardworking, multi-skilled operative who will be capable of delivery a high quality finish on their works. Plastering & joinery/basic carpentry skills will be looked on favourably. Any candidates with experience in damp proofing, basement waterproofing, wall ties or structural repairs would be looked upon very favourably.

Work will largely be based within South Wales/Bristol however there may be occasions where work will be required in other areas so the flexibility to work/stay away when necessary will be ideal. The employment package covers the cost of travel/accommodation/sustenance etc. when required. The employment package will also include the use of a company service vehicle and work wear/PPE will also be provided. The role will potentially include work within other divisions of the company from time to time, full training will be provided for this if necessary.

Any candidates with experience in damp proofing, basement waterproofing, wall ties or structural repairs would be looked upon very favourably.

The successful candidate will need to be physically fit and hold a full UK drivers licence. CSCS card holders would be preferable.

Overview:

Full Time / Permanent

Newport / Flexible working once trained.

£20,000 – £23,000 plus commission/bonus structure.

9:00 – 5:30 Monday – Friday.

 

Summary:

Protectahome are seeking to employ a driven and tenacious individual to join the company’s sales and marketing team based in Newport.

The successful candidate will be tasked with securing new business leads for technical staff across the company’s varied service offerings as well as assisting with a range of marketing activities.

 

Description:

Reporting to both the company directors and commercial manager, the role will involve generating business enquiries from largely commercial sources via telephone, email and occasionally field based canvassing.

The ideal candidate will be confident, self-motivated, target driven and organised with a passion for delivering results and an individual who genuinely enjoys securing new business opportunities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a prerequisite as is a strong understanding of the sales process whilst experience in selling a professional service within the property sector would be very beneficial.

Protectahome’s services include: Basement Waterproofing, Structural Repairs, Damp Proofing, Timber Treatments and Pest Control amongst others, so any knowledge of these services (or those closely associated) would be advantageous as the role will involve securing leads for each. The company prides itself on providing the best possible solution to its customers and preserving its reputation as a ‘reliable & high quality service provider’ so a candidate with the confidence and ability to sell on quality and reputation rather than simply price, would be ideal.

Alongside lead generation, the role will also involve contributing to the company marketing including drafting of case studies, website and social media content and email marketing copy as well as taking an active role in the company marketing as a whole.

Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher and Powerpoint will be expected. Knowledge/experience of using lead generation portals such as Barbour ABI, Glenigan or similar would be beneficial but not required. Any experience in CAD would be looked upon very favourably but again, not a requirement.

 

The successful candidate will be expected to quickly develop a strong understanding of the company’s services and critically, understand how the company aims to deliver these services and generate turnover.

Initially, the role will be largely based at the company Head Office in Langstone, Newport however more flexible working from home will be introduced as training is completed and the individual becomes more settled in the role.

A company laptop and phone will be provided for the role as well as full training on all company services to the degree that is needed.

A target based commission/bonus structure will also be available.
