A new build project constructed into an earth bank to the rear and right hand side elevations. Protectahome were consulted and asked to provide a Guaranteed waterproofing solution including for design liability under our own Professional Indemnity Insurance. Due to internal constraints and finishes it was not possible (or preferable for the buildings occupiers) for an internal system of waterproofing to be applied.

Protectahome designed a combined Type B (structurally integral protection) and Type C (drained protection) waterproofing system.

Working closely with the main contractor, a series of fully serviceable land drains were installed.

Protectahome applied a pressure membrane to the walls before installing a drained protection layer benefiting from the provision of a geotextile filter barrier bonded to the surface.

The waterproofing was protected using a protection board prior to careful, supervised backfill to Protectahome’s own specification.
