Protectahome were requested to provide a design for the installation of a Waterproofing System to the lower ground floor of a new build domestic property. The architects provided provisional site plans and ground investigation reports to aid with the design process. The Waterproofing Solution had to be capable of delivering a grade three habitable environment (as defined in BS8102) for two bedrooms, a WC and a storage area.
Protectahome designed and installed a Type C Drained Protection Waterproofing system to the concrete walls and floors. The walls and floors were lined using a combination of 8mm stud and 3mm Cavity Drain Membranes, linked to a serviceable perimeter drainage channel. The channels discharge passively to a safe form of drainage. The Waterproofing System included products by John Newton & Co that benefit from BBA approval. Work was carried out by our own directly employed operatives under the direct supervision of our contract manager. The installation benefits from the provision of a Protectahome long term Guarantee and the design is covered by our own Professional Indemnity Insurance.
