A new Information Technology Centre being constructed within the basement of an existing brick built former warehouse.

The building is in the centre of Leicester and adjacent to River Soar. The basement is below ground and earth retaining to full height.

Making reference to guidance set out within BS8102, Protectahome designed and installed a Drained Protection Waterproofing System.

An extensive project incorporating over 300 metres of Perimeter drainage channel linked back to multiple sumps with automatic, dual pumps and high water alarms in each.

The walls were lined to full height using a combination of 8mm stud and meshed 8mm stud Cavity Drain Membranes—over 650m² of application.

The walls were finished using a combination of metal stud walls and direct bond plasterboard over the meshed Cavity Drain Membrane.

Floors were lined with 560m² of 3mm Cavity Drain Membrane to complete the Waterproofing system.

The Waterproofing installation was completed on time and within budget and is subject to Protectahome’s long term Guarantee.
