Waterproofing and Building Preservation consultation at Cambridge University
Our work took us to various Cambridge University sites including the iconic Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge. Founded in 1816 the Grade I listed building is a destination in itself, that’s before you begin to explore the Museum’s collection of over half a million objects.
Working closely with a team of building professionals who came to us by past experience and referral, our specialist waterproofing and building preservation skill set is being deployed to create a sympathetic and targeted approach to a number of issues being experienced and to help advise on and create planned preventive events.
We will bring you more in months to come. For now though take a look for yourself and be sure to add the destination to your itinerary if visiting the beautiful city of Cambridge.
And don’t miss sculptor William Grinsell Nicholl’s four stone lions dating to 1839 that guard the south and north steps to the Fitzwilliam Museum’s portico entrance. According to local folklore, when the Church of Our Lady and the English Martyrs’ clock strikes midnight, the Fitzwilliam Lions rise from their plinths and make their way to drink from the gutters that run along Trumpington Street!
