Protectahome Commence Work in the Royal Borough of Greenwich

Protectahome technicians have today started basement waterproofing work onsite in Greenwich, London.

Waterproofing Specialists

Protectahome were approached as waterproofing specialists after evidence, namely dampness affecting the basement floor, was discovered owing to the fact that the existing waterproofing system had been breached.

Our expert surveyor and waterproofing specialist uncovered a poorly designed and installed Type-C (Drained Protection) waterproofing system that required replacing before water damaged finishes could be restored.

Our waterproofing specialist, working within our clients brief, designed a new system which addressed the failings of the original installation. The remedial waterproofing design utilises the concept of drained protection, addressing previous failings from reoccurring, it also restores the waterproofing integrity and offers long term waterproofing protection to the property by building in maintainability.

We anticipate that the installation of the new system will be completed in 3 days helping the principle contractor to keep on track with a tight program of restoration.

Basement Waterproofing

London has been at the centre of the ‘Basement Boom’ in recent years as space in the capital becomes increasingly difficult to find, leading to a large number of basement conversions as a potential solution. However, as this particular site highlights, the importance of using a specialist waterproofing designer when undertaking a basement conversion cannot be understated to avoid potential water damage to the property.
