Royal Approval for Liverpool Project

Prince Charles visited the Florence Institute in a snowy Liverpool last week and unveiled a plaque commemorating the reopening of the much loved “Florrie” community centre. The Prince first visited the Florence Institute in 2007 when, after many years of neglect, it did not even have a roof on.

Liverpool landmark the “Florrie” has reopened following a ground up refurbishment in 2012 that included for Basement Tanking and Waterproofing by Protectahome. The £6.4 million pound refurbishment of this Historic Liverpool Heritage Building was part funded by a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund and is the biggest success story to date for Liverpool Echo’s Stop-the-Rot campaign.
