Protectahome Continue Work at Birmingham Landmark

With over 1500m2 of Waterproofing membrane successfully installed, Protectahome technicians are making good progress at Birmingham’s historic former Central Fire Station at Lancaster Circus.

Thus far, following the design of a Type C (Drained) Waterproofing System from Protectahome’s specialist surveyor, our technicians have fitted cavity drain membrane to over 1500m2 of the development with around another 1500m2 to go before completion. The installation utilises products from Triton Systems Platon range of cavity drain membranes in combination with Triton Systems specialist basement drainage and basement sump and pump products.

Working in partnership with Watkin Jones Construction, the project will see the 1.7 acre site, formerly the HQ of Birmingham Fire Service, converted into new student accommodation. When completed the new accommodation will house 463 beds for students of Aston University.
