NATO Summit – Possible Business Interruption

NATO Summit – Possible Business Interruption

The NATO Summit begins tomorrow at the Celtic Manor Resort, merely 500 yards from our Head Office in Langstone, Newport.

The summit, which will be attended by over 60 heads of state including David Cameron and Barack Obama, has attracted thousands people to South Wales including over 10,000 support staff, 9,500 police officers and 2,000 journalists. In total, there are an expectant 30,000 people travelling to South Wales for the event.

With such a large number of visitors and heightened security measures, authorities have advised that local businesses expect some travel disruption as road closures and congestion will be potential issues.

With this in mind, we would like to advise all clients that our offices may be affected by limited attendance. We would advise that any visitors consider rescheduling any planned visits until the beginning of next week unless absolutely necessary.

We anticipate that business will resume unaffected on Monday morning following the conclusion of the summit.

Thank you for your consideration in this respect.
