Corner Stitching
Cracks at the corners or junctions of buildings are common problems we encounter.
Cracking can be caused by a number of factors, either in isolation or combined. For example, common causes might include:
- Foundation movement
- Thermal and/or moisture movement
- Frost action
- Corrosion of embedded steelwork
- Lintel failure
- Overloading
It is important to identify if the cracking is complete, incomplete or seasonal in order that an appropriate repair strategy may be selected.
Protectahome have extensive experience of dealing with cracks in all types and ages of buildings. Historic monuments to modern buildings, we deal with each on its own merits and recommend a repair strategy that will effectively deal with the problems being encountered in a manner that is sympathetic to the structure and its aesthetics.
